Rector Prof. İlkay Salihoğlu MD., stated that one of the most important criteria that determines the success of a university is the number of articles published in indexed journals and added that in this context, achieving a third place among the universities in our country is an indicator of the increase in scientific publication performance in 2018.
Salihoğlu completed his statement by adding that : “ UoK academic staff in 2018 have worked above expectations in scientific activities and it is based on our university’s mission, vision, and goals. This has allowed us to move forward towards the desired scientific achievement goals. We will continue to contribute to our country in scientific and academic terms. Of course, this success is not sufficient and international standards and knowledge are among our most important goals. Otherwise, it is a fact that it cannot go beyond providing education by using outdated information produced by others. Our highly respected academicians will help our young academics to publish more quality articles and accelerate our rise in university rankings. We will continue to blend education with science “.
