According to Chapter 105 (Aliens and Immigration Law) all foreign students have to get student permit to stay within 90 days from entry to TRNC.

YÖKAS System To The Attention of All Students
For all procedures related to students permits, it is mandatory that students are registered in the YOKAS System. Students who has not submitted their information will not be able to perform transactions in any of the Directorates of PGM Immigration Department of the TRNC Ministry of Interior, including TRNC Ministry of National Education and Culture and TRNC Ministry of Health. In order to ensure that our students do not experience any kind of victimization, the registration process of all Turkish nationals and all international students must be completed.
