University of Kyrenia has organized Nicosia and Kyrenia city tours for the new students who joined the university’s growing family for the academic year of 2018 – 2019.
The city tours were organized on the 26th and 27th of September in order to help fresher’s to settle easily to the island and to give them the chance to explore Cyprus along with its cultural and naturel beauties.

During the tour in Nicosia, the students first visited the Kyrenia Gate and were given the opportunity to visit historical buildings such as The Great Inn, Selimiye Mosque, Bedesten and Bandabulya.

The Kyrenia tour started with the visit of the Karaoğlanoğlu Martyrdom, which continued with the visits of the Old Kyrenia Habour and the Kyrenia Castle. During the visit to the castle students also visited the Shipwreck Museum and received detailed information, which attracted the student’s attention and was accompanied by a guide.

At the end of the city tour trips organized for the students to adapt to the university life, students expressed their wishes for the university to continue with organizing such activities which give them the chance to meet new friends and socialize.

University of Kyrenia 2018 – 2019 Orientation Days will be completed on Wednesday at 19:00, 3rd of October with the ‘Welcome Party’ accompanied with live music by Grup Rast which will be held on campus.
