The Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts is preparing to bring the art wave rising from the Near East University campus to art lovers in Yeniboğaziçi, with two important exhibitions to be opened. Two solo painting exhibitions named “Dedicated”, which consists of works by world-renowned Kyrgyz painters Kadyr Bekov, and “Clone”, consisting of works by Kubanychbek Ibragimov, will be opened by Famagusta MP Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay at the Near East Yeniboğaziçi Campus Fine Arts Gallery on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 18:00.

With the exhibitions to be opened, the number of exhibitions of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts will reach 414. Participating in many national and international exhibitions, artist Kadyr Bekov’s exhibition “Dedicated” consists of 20 works. In the selection, the works named ‘Theatre’, ‘Working Day’ and ‘Peace Pigeon’ draw attention. There will also be 20 works in Kubanychbek Ibragimov’s exhibition titled “Clone”. Among the remarkable works of the exhibition, there are works named ‘Melancholic’, ‘Mirror’, and ‘Spring’. The exhibitions, which will bring together 30 works of art in total, can be visited free of charge until Friday, June 24, 2022.

Kubanychbek İbragimov and Kadyr Bekov, members of the Artists Union of the Kyrgyz Republic, have taken part in many national and international exhibitions. 47-year-old Kyrgyz artist Kubanychbek Ibragimov depicts the real features of the environment in his works. Ibragimov’s works took place in the Imago Mundi Luciano Benetton Collection in Italy in 2015; In 2016, he took part in the group exhibition held in China. Artist İbragimov was presented with the Silver Key Honor Award in 2019 by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and the Ulug Beg Award given to international painting artists in 2020. The works of the artist are also in the Gapar Aytiyev Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts and in private collections in various countries.

On the other hand, 66-year-old Kadyr Bekov was presented with the Ulug Beg award given to international painting artists in 2022 by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. Bekov’s works take place in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts, in private collections in the Commonwealth of Independent States, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, Brazil, South, Korea and China, as well as in the collection of the G. Aitiev Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts.
