University of Kyrenia Rector Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu accepted 500 books donated by Derat Architecs Director Mustafa Derat to the University of Kyrenia Grand Library.

At the ceremony attended by University of Kyrenia Founding Board of Trustees Member Tümer Garip, UoK General Secretary Fehmi Tokay and library staff, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu stated that they continue their works upon the motivation provided with the Grand Library, which has recently inaugurated.

Expressing that they act with the awareness that a university will institutionalize via the social bond it establishes with its environment, Salihoğlu drew attention to the importance of the contributions of people such as Derat Architecs Director Mustafa Derat who understand the importance and value of this fact.

Rector Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu emphasized that the communication established through the books is very important and expressed his satisfaction with such devoted supports they receive for the development of the Grand Library, which provides access to 500 thousand printed books and 650 million digital resources and is open to everyone.

Mustafa Derat, on the other hand, expressed his happiness to see the facilities of the University of Kyrenia campus and to contribute to the Grand Library.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu presented a plaque of appreciation to Mustafa Derat.
