According to the statement made by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the University of Kyrenia, one of our students from Maritime Studies, Murathan GÜLER, who went to his hometown Ordu for family visit during new year holidays, lost his life after a car accident.

Dean of Faculty of Maritime Studies of University of Kyrenia Prof. Dr. Mustafa ALTUNÇ, made a statement and said that: “ We are deeply grieved by the sad news. Murathan was respectful, successful, disciplined and exemplary candidate mariner. I send my deepest condolences to his family, our academics, his classmates and to all our university. “ During the memorial ceremony which organized by his university teachers and classmates all participants stood in silent homage and left flowers to the sea.
