Within the scope of the Republic Day activities the solo exhibition organized for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and titled “Game”, and consisting of 30 artworks of Tajikistan artist Maksudjon Mirmukhamedov will be opened by Kyrenia Mayor Nidai Güngördü on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 17.00. The exhibition will take place at the Kyrenia University Faculty of Pharmacy Exhibition Hall.
Mirmukhamedov; “A true and lasting friendship is about respecting the other person.”
One of the works of artist Mirmukhamedov, “Friends”, depicts the strong friendship between two girl friends and twin brothers. In this context, the artist emphasizes the importance of friendship in the world and the support of people against each other. According to the artist Mirmukhamedov, this is a great value in human life. A true and lasting friendship is about respecting the other person. Stating that he fully agrees with the Italian proverb saying “He who finds a friend, finds a treasure” and says, “I reflect the concept of friendship in my works.”
Who is Maksudjon Mirmukhamedov?
He was born in Tajikistan in 1986. Between 1997 and 2002, he studied at the children’s art school of the city of Khujand. Between 2002 and 2011, he studied at M. Tursunzade Tajik State Art Institute. In 2005, he participated in the exhibition of Tajikistan’s young artists in the city of Khujand. In 2008, he participated in the “Me and My Community” exhibition held in the city of Khujand. In 2008, he participated in the exhibition held at the Russian cultural center in Dushanbe. In 2009, Kamoliddin Behzod participated in the exhibition at the National Museum. In 2011, he participated in the exhibition “Tajikistan Culture Days in Moscow”. He participated in the “Tajikistan Culture Days” exhibition held in Turkmenistan in 2013. He participated in the “Art-Expo” exhibition in Armenia in 2014. The same year, he won the first place in the “Best Portrait of Gaidar Aliyev” competition. In 2015 he held his solo exhibition titled “My Roots” in Dushanbe. In 2018, he participated in the “Tajikistan Culture Days” exhibition in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
