University of Kyrenia ranked among the top three universities in the TRNC in the "World's Best Scientists" ranking published by AD Scientific Index.
University of Kyrenia continues its rise in the "World's Best Scientists" ranking published by AD Scientific Index, one of the international higher education rating organisations. University of Kyrenia, with 78 academics on the list, ranked in the top 10% globally with 4 academics, in the top 30% with 9 academics, and in the top 50% with 29 academics.

In the research, which included 13 universities from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, University of Kyrenia ranked third in terms of academic quality. Near East University, with 41 academics in the top 10 per cent worldwide, was the best university in the TRNC, while Eastern Mediterranean University came second with 15 academics.

In the "World's Best Scientists" ranking published by AD Scientific Index, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehdi Shahedi Asl, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zohre Ahmadi, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Uzunboylu and Prof. Dr. Akbar Abbasi from University of Kyrenia ranked in the top 10% worldwide. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehdi Shahedi Asl from University of Kyrenia's Faculty of Engineering was also listed among the top 10 academics in the TRNC.

Meanwhile, in the ranking compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier, one of the most important scientific publishers, to determine the world's most influential scientists, Prof. Dr. Akbar Abbasi, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts at University of Kyrenia, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehdi Shahedi Asl were listed among the world's most influential scientists in the top 2 per cent.
