University of Kyrenia will meet the Qualified Staff need of Civil Aviation

As part of the protocol signed with YÖK (Council of Higher Education of Turkey) and General Directorate of Civil Aviation, signed in order to meet the need of qualified staff to serve the field of civil aviation, will be met by universities which are entitled to raise qualified personnel for civil aviation.

According to the press info release from the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, being the first and only university which specializes in facilitating aviation and maritime studies, University of Kyrenia is providing for the increased number of need of qualified personnel for the sector through 4 faculties, 1 vocational school, 1 postgraduate education institution and 16 departments.

University of Kyrenia meets the requirements of General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Turkey…

According to the statement made by Secretary General of University of Kyrenia, Assist Prof Dr Ediz Tuncel, University of Kyrenia had been established according to the requirements of YÖK (Council of Higher Education of Turkey) and YÖDAK (Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Council of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), and through the cooperation protocol signed with General directorate of Civil Aviation of Turkey, the University of Kyrenia had prepared educational programs for the relevant fields, and all the curricula had been written accordingly, and that the University offered certificate programs and postgraduate educational programs, all specifically designed for aviation and maritime studies.

Revealing that all preparations have been completed, Tuncel emphasizes that University of Kyrenia had taken every necessary step to raise and educate highly skilled and competent individuals needed for the development of civil aviation, and that the University facilitated an education fleet of 6 aeroplanes; ready for the education of best graduates required for the aviation sector.

Inimitable Opportunity; education and recruitment to the sector, followed by payment for the tuition fees…

Furthermore, Tuncel stressed that the University of Kyrenia was offering an inimitable opportunity, an opportunity that has never been offered by any other establishment or institution, by providing its aviation students to register to any aviation department, the chance to make the tuition fee payments until after completing their education and their recruitment to the aviation sector. In this regard, Tuncel stated that the students of aviation departments would not be required to make any tuition fee payments throughout their education period. Moreover, Tuncel explained that the students of aviation departments would only be entitled to pay their registration fee and the social activity fee for each semester. Tuncel added that students were also offered an employment guarantee and thus, the students would be asked to make their tuition fee payments until they have been recruited to their positions in the aviation sector. Tuncel ended his statement by expressing that the deadline for registration to University of Kyrenia was declared to be 5th September 2014.
