At the “Career Day” event organized by the University of Kyrenia Faculty of Medicine, business person Işın Ramadan Cemil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ramadan Cemil Enterprises, held an inspiring conference on ‘Cyprus and Me’.

In addition to being a pioneer in the business world, Işın Ramadan Cemil, who contributes to the society with her support for social responsibility projects, is especially appreciated for her work paving the way for young entrepreneurs and women leaders.

Cemil, who was the guest of University of Kyrenia Career Day event, shared her success stories, experiences and her love for Cyprus with her inspiring life story.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Rüveyde Bundak shared the following about the Career Days event, which is organized with the contribution of creating a road map for University of Kyrenia students in planning their future and reaching their goals in their lives; “This process helps people to assess their interests, skills and opportunities, especially in the career field. Career days events raise awareness about the world of work by enabling young people and professionals to meet different professional groups. In this way, participants discover potential job opportunities, learn about trends in the sectors and can more clearly define their career goals.

Such events also provide networking opportunities and the chance to meet mentors. Interacting directly with business professionals gives participants a chance to understand the challenges they will face in business and how to deal with them. In addition, inspiring success stories and experiences are presented to students and early career professionals, providing them with strategies to guide them towards their goals in a more motivated and conscious way. We wanted to create awareness by inviting Işın Ramadan Cemil, a very valuable business person, to our event.”

 WHO IS IŞIN RAMADAN CEMİL?

Işın Ramadan Cemil is one of the leading business people in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and plays an active role in the business world and social responsibility projects. Serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ramadan Cemil Enterprises, a family-owned company, Cemil has made significant contributions to the growth and modernization of the company. As well as her leadership in the business world, she is also known for her contributions to civil society activities. As one of the founding members of the Business Women’s Association, she is involved in projects that promote women entrepreneurship and works to strengthen the role of women in the business world in the TRNC. She also actively contributes to various educational and charitable organizations such as the Cyprus Turkish Education Foundation, which her family supports.

Işın Ramadan Cemil’s achievements and life story are described in the third book of the Values of Northern Cyprus series written by Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mutlu Soykurt. In addition, her life and achievements are also discussed in the 25th episode of the Women Adding Value to Our Lives documentary series prepared by the Women’s Stories Association. This documentary was screened at the Near East University on November 12, 2024.
