– University of Kyrenia Hospital is recruiting 30 Patient Consultants.

The groundbreaking of the University of Kyrenia Hospital was held in 2015 within the campus of University of Kyrenia. It was announced that University of Kyrenia Hospital will be in service in September 2016 and that 30 patient consultants will be recruited; to receive patients, keep a follow up on the patients subsequent to their medical examination, help them with inpatient procedures and guide patient family and friends.

It was revealed that the project to establish the University of Kyrenia Hospital was primarily initiated to provide health services to native and foreign locals residing in Kyrenia, and that the University Hospital would be in service by September, 2016. In this regard, this establishment will also create many job opportunities.

Initially, the University of Kyrenia has announced job opportunity for 30 patient consultants and that those considering to apply for the job are advised to make their applications by 10th March. It was also pointed out that other job opportunities were to be announced in the near future.

Qualifications Required to apply for patient consultancy

  • Preferably to be a graduate from one of the following departments: Department of Communication; Public Relations; Psychological Counselling and Guidance
  • Effectively use MS Office (word, excel, power point) computer programmes
  • Have the competence to: think quickly and analytically, work as part of a team, co-operate and be goal oriented
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate
  • Prioritise “patient satisfaction”, value patient and patient family/friend psychology
  • Value personal appearance and hygiene
  • Have a good diction
  • Preferably have a good level of English
  • Men should have completed their military service

Those who are recruited for the job will be provided training

The applications to the patient consultancy vacancies will be evaluated and applicants will be called over for interviews. Subsequently, those successful at the interviews will be recruited for the jobs and during April-September, they will be provided training at the Near East University Hospital, therefore, find the opportunity to get experience on what their duties and responsibilities will be in their jobs.

University of Kyrenia Hospital is designed as 2 blocks, each with four floors along with fully equipped technological infrastructure, the hospital will have a staff of specialists and everything that is needed to provide the best of health services to Kyrenia, including Emergency Service and Polyclinic.
