The results of the student placement 2020 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) announced by OSYM (Measuring, Selection and Placement Center of Turkey) .
“The 2020 YKS results have been announced. According to the results of the exams, University of Kyrenia has been rewarded for its solid stance in its scientific and academic studies and its appropriate and accurate infrastructure investments over the years. University of Kyrenia will continue its studies with great care.
The fact that many of our programs and especially our major programs and departments are mostly full is due to the trust of our students and parents have in the University of Kyrenia. . This trust is based on the management mentality of our university’s administration and the dedication of our academic staff. University of Kyrenia will continue to be a reliable institution and will continue to set a higher standard in its scientific and academic studies. University of Kyrenia’s attitude, rational infrastructure investments, visionary leadership and devoted work of the teaching staff will carry our university further in the coming years. We would like to thank the university administration, lecturers and administrative staff who contributed.
The increase in the number of students placed in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus universities and our University with YKS Exams compared to the previous year is primarily based on the successful management of the TRNC COVID 19 epidemic process throughout the island and the creation of a “safe island” image. The “Student Friendly Island” project, put forward by the relevant Ministry, played an important role in this increase. On behalf of the University of Kyrenia Family, we would like to thank to the Minister of National Education and Culture, Mr. Nazım Çavuşoğlu, who successfully managed the process, protected our students and provided endless support, especially with the devoted work they performed under pandemic conditions, and who designed, developed and carried out the “Student-Friendly Island” project.
The Günsel Family, which provided all kinds of assistance to all international students staying on the island during the pandemic period, did not increase the tuition fees and dormitory fees in the 2020-2021 academic year and played an important role in increasing the number of students who preferred our institution. On this occasion we would like to express our gratitude towards Dr. Suat Günsel and Günsel Family for their support to the University of Kyrenia.
