The University of Kyrenia, has now commenced its studies with three faculties, six departments, one vocational school and one academy. The Kyrenia University now accepts applications from Cypriot students to Department of Deck, Department of Marine Engineering, Department of Maritime Management and Administration, Department of Maritime Transportation and Logistics, Department of Marine Biology, Ecology and Oceanography, and Department of Fisheries Technology for 2013-2014 academic year (http://kyrenia.edu.tr). Mrs. Cemre Günsel, The Founding Rector of the University of Kyrenia, pronounced that the University of Kyrenia, the sister foundation of the Near East University, has commenced its academic studies as of May 2013.
