University of Kyrenia Foundation Presents Certificates Of 11th Amateur Seamen And Short Range Radio Operator Course

The Amateur Seamen and Short Range Radio Operator Course is organized twice a year by the University of Kyrenia. The second of the courses has been completed and certificates were presented to the participants who successfully completed the course.

The Amateur Seamen and Short Range Radio Operator Course has been organized in cooperation with the University of Kyrenia Foundation and the Faculty of Maritime Studies as well as the the General Directorate of Marine and Inland Waters Regulations of Ministry of Transport, Marine and Communication of Turkey.

According to a press statement released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the University of Kyrenia, the The Amateur Seamen and Short Range Radio Operator Course has been organized in cooperation with the University of Kyrenia Foundation, the Faculty of Maritime Studies and the General Directorate of Marine and Inland Waters Regulations of Ministry of Transport, Marine and Communication of Turkey. The certificates of successful participants have been given at a ceremony held at the Exhibition Hall of University of Kyrenia.

There was a wide participation at the ceremony. Mrs. Mutlu SOYKURT, the Director of University of Kyrenia Foundation, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hürmüs REFİKER, Secretary General of University of Kyrenia, Yaşar ÇAYIR, the Chairman of Amateur Maritime Association, Ömer MERAKLI, Mukhtar of Kalavac Village, officials from the University of Kyrenia, trainees who attended the course, and the families of participants attended to the ceremony.

The qualification courses of Amateur Seamen and Short Range Radio Operator are organized by the University of Kyrenia Foundation allow amateur seamen to use and command vessels and ships up to 24 meters in length anywhere in the world.
