According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, the groundbreaking of the University of Kyrenia Faculty of Medicine Research Hospital was made in November, 2015 and the construction was continuing with full speed, soon to be completed, by September 2016, to provide the best of health services to local and foreign residents of Kyrenia.

It was pointed out that the Hospital, which was designed as two blocks, each consisting of four floors, will be offering contemporary and best possible infrastructure and technology, along with medical staff of specialists to offer health services required for diagnosis and relative treatment(s).
University of Kyrenia Faculty of Medicine Research Hospital has initiated recruiting personnel and will be providing health services by September, 2016. It was announced that later steps regarding recruitment of other personnel has also been started since February 2016. Firstly, the recruitment of 30 patient consultants was announced; to receive inpatients, assist patients during and after medical examination(s) and inpatient processes and the chosen applicants which will have applied by 10th March will be provided an education and training period comprising a time frame from April To September, 2016 at the Near East University Hospital.
According to the info release, other job vacancies will soon be announced soon and therefore by the time the hospital starts providing health services, many new job opportunities will have been created.
