Having established a very strong and dynamic team by transferring young talents, Women’s Basketball Team of University of Kyrenia is making its final preparations prior to the Super League of the Turkish Women’s Basketball.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, the tournament which will be held prior to the super league holds significance as it will be an indication of the status of the team. The tournaments are announced to initiate with a match between University of Kyrenia and one of the strongest teams of the Turkish Women’s Basketball League, Near East University which will be held in Istanbul, on September, 17th, 2016.

4 Tournaments will be held prior to the League…

It was stated that Women’s Basketball Team of University of Kyrenia will be participating in 4 tournaments before the 2016-2017 Season of the Women’s Basketball League of Turkey.

In this regard, the team will be playing a preparation match against Near East University on 17th September, 2016 in Istanbul. Subsequently, the team will be participating in the Adana Büyükşehir Belediyesi Tournament between 19 – 24 September, then Dr. Suat Günsel Tournament between 29 September-1 October; then Botaş Cup between 6 – 9 October; and then finally in AGÜ Cup between dates 12- 16 October, 2016.

At the Adana Büyükşehir Tournament, University of Kyrenia will be competing against AGÜ, Osmaniye Tosyalı Toyo, MBK Doğuş Hastanesi, Mersin B.Ş.B and Adana ASKİ. As for the tournament of Botaş Cup, University of Kyrenia will be competing against MBK Doğuş Hastanesi and Samsun Canik Belediye Spor. Then, the team will be competing against Adana ASKİ, Osmaniye Tosyalı Toyo, MBK Doğuş Hastanesi at AGÜ Cup tournament.
