The First Exhibition of the New Year Opens Its Doors!

The “Fine Arts January Exhibition” organized by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts will be opened by President Ersin Tatar on Thursday, January 30 at 17:30 at the İrfan Günsel Congress Center Exhibition Hall.

The first exhibition of 2025 will meet art lovers on Thursday, January 30 on the Near East University campus. Bringing together the works of academic artists of the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and artists of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, the “Fine Arts January Exhibition” will be opened by President Ersin Tatar on Thursday, January 30 at 17:30 at the İrfan Günsel Congress Center Exhibition Hall.

The exhibition, which is the 469th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, will bring together artworks in various styles such as sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and painting with art lovers. The exhibition, which can be visited free of charge every weekday between 08:00-17:00 until February 21, 2025, will be curated by Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Near East University and Director of the GÜNSEL Art Museum.

Stating that Near East University has adopted the integration of art with society as a fundamental mission, Prof. Dr. Ergün said, “Our exhibitions are also cultural meeting points. These exhibitions aim to be a source of inspiration for individuals to make more space for art in their lives.” Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün also said, “We are very happy to start the year 2025 by once again focusing on art. We invite all our people to come together at this special opening.”
