The “Fine Arts June Exhibition” consisting of 50 artworks will be opened by the Minister of National Education and Culture Nazım Çavuşoğlu after the “Near East University Science Awards” ceremony

Many scientists from different countries who came to Northern Cyprus for scientific events will attend the opening ceremony, which will be held at the Near East University İrfan Günsel Congress Center.

The “Fine Arts June Exhibition”, consisting of 50 artworks exclusively made by the artist academics of the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and the artists of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, will be held on Thursday, July 4, at 18.30 at the İrfan Günsel Congress Center Exhibition Hall. The exhibition will be opened by Minister of Culture Nazım Çavuşoğlu.

At the award ceremony to be held before the opening of the exhibition, Near East University Science Awards and Dr. Suat Günsel Honor Award Gold Medal will find its owners in a magnificent ceremony. Scientific and artistic productivity will be celebrated together with ceremonies to be held at the İrfan Günsel Congress Center.

In the exhibition, which will be open to visitors free of charge until July 24, 50 artworks consisting of paintings, sculptures, ceramics and printmaking will be presented to art lovers. Curator of the “Fine Arts June Exhibition”, the 462nd exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, will be Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Deputy Dean and GÜNSEL Art Museum Director Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün.

Emphasizing that science and art are the two most important carriers that complement each other in the progress of humanity and the formation of cultural wealth, Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Vice Dean and Director of GÜNSEL Art Museum, Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün said, “In this respect, it is very meaningful and important that our exhibition opening and the Near East University Science Awards ceremony will be held consecutively.”

Prof. Dr. Ergün invited the whole public to the events by saying “Let’s celebrate art and science together and share this unique experience.” and added, “We will be happy to see you among us at Near East University, where we speak the universal language of science and art.”
