Development Center affiliated with the Center of Excellence of Near East University and the University of Kyrenia in collaboration will start on Monday, 2 December, at the University of Kyrenia Library! The symposium will last for two days and will bring together many academics and expert sector representatives.
The symposium, where society and sustainable development goals will be discussed, stands out as an event planned in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants aim to develop solutions to social problems and strengthen international collaborations through workshops and presentations to be held at the symposium. The first day of the symposium, which will last all day, will begin with various sessions and panels on social issues as well as sustainable development goals. The second day will continue with workshops and presentations to be held at the Near East University Faculty of Education.
The opening ceremony of the symposium, which will be held with the participation of the President of the National Assembly Ziya Öztürkler, will be held under the honorary presidency of the Rector of Kyrenia University Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu and the Rector of Near East University Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ. The symposium will be chaired by the Head of the Social Research and Development Center Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay, Vice President Prof. Dr. Fahriye Altınay, Dean of the Faculty of Education of Kyrenia University Prof. Dr. Gökmen Dağlı, Head of the Near East University Mathematics Research Center Prof. Dr. Evren Hıncal and Dean of Students of Near East University Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz.

On the first day of the symposium; “Society, Health and Research Panel”, “Sustainable Development Goals and Social Projects Panel”, “Women and Social Projects Panel”, “Old Age and Quality of Life Panel”, “Children and Social Issues Panel”, “Disability and Social Issues Panel” will focus on the social issues. The second day will continue with workshops and presentations to be held at the Near East University Faculty of Education. On the second day; “Artificial Intelligence and Museums”, “Women and Disability”, “Sustainable Development Goals and Intersectoral Cooperation Panel” will address the relevant topics. The symposium will provide an important platform for developing solutions to social problems and strengthening international collaborations.
