The 450th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts will be opened on November 22, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the TRNC

The ” Fine Arts November Exhibition”, organized in honor of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the TRNC, will be opened at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, November 22, with the participation of the Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu.

The ” Fine Arts November Exhibition” organized by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will meet art lovers on Wednesday, November 22, at 16.00. Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu will also attend the opening ceremony to be held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center Exhibition Hall.

Bringing together artworks made by Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts academics and Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts artists, the ” Fine Arts November Exhibition” will be the 450th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. Guest artists Kaan Canduran, Ali Asgar Çakmakçı, Janina Myronowa, Buğra Özer, Soner Pilge, Mariia Raskin and Hasan Numan Sütağlar will also add color to the exhibition with their artworks. The exhibition can be visited free of charge until December 15. Artworks consisting of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, stained glass and printmaking will come together at the exhibition.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Near East University and Director of GÜNSEL Art Museum, Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, who also curated the exhibition to be held in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, said, “We will celebrate the 40th anniversary of our Republic with art, befitting the Republic, with our exhibition that will be opened on November 22.”

Reminding that art is a universal language that brings people together regardless of language, religion or ethnicity, Prof. Dr. Ergün said, “Art is a universal language in which peace can be expressed in the strongest way. The works in different styles and forms in our Fine Arts November exhibition will symbolize respect for diversity, which is one of the most important guarantees of our Republic.”
