The Faculty of Dentistry 2nd Student Symposium has been held with the participation of University of Kyrenia Rector Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu, Vice Rector and Dean of Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Rüveyde Bundak, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry and Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Dental Hospital Head Physician Prof. Dr. Serap Çetiner, Dr Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital Head Physician Prof. Dr. Nail Bulakbaşı, academic staff and students.
Prof. Dr. Serap Çetiner and Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu supported the students by presenting the opening speeches of the symposium and wishing the students success.
The Faculty of Dentistry 2nd Student Symposium which took place with two sessions, included a total of 8 presentations of the following subjects; orthodontics, restorative dentistry, prosthetic dentistry, pedodontics, oral and maxillofacial radiology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics and periodontology. At the end of the symposium, the jury members evaluated the posters of each group according to the topics along with the presentations. As a result of the voting, the Pendodontics group under the supervision of Dt. Ferdiye Küçük took the first place, the Prosthetic Dentistry and Treatment group under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. İffet Yazıcı took the second place, and the Endodontics Group under the supervision of Specialist Dt. Yağız Özbay took the third place.
All the students who have participated received their certificate of participation by the following Supervisors and Academic Staffs Prof. Dr. Bahar Gürsoy, Prof. Dr. Şölen Günal, Prof. Dr. Haluk Öztunç, Assti Prof. Dr. Zeynep Yenen, Asst. Prof. Dr. İffet Yazıcı, Specialist Dt. Yağız Özbay, Dt. Ferdiye Küçük and Dt. Kemal Güldüren.
The symposium which took place within a successful atmosphere and had a high participation ended with the cocktail.
