The postage stamps designed by the TRNC Post Office in honor of GÜNSEL, the domestic and national automobile manufacturer of the TRNC, will be put into circulation on Thursday, October 7th.

Postage stamps made by the TRNC Post Office, which operates under the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, in honor of GÜNSEL, the local and national car manufacturer of the TRNC, are meeting with the public.

Stamps with GÜNSEL's first model B9 on them were printed on watermarked paper in 8 layers by digital printing method at the State Printing House in Nicosia. GÜNSEL stamps, which will be put into circulation as of October 7, 2021, will remain on sale for one year. A total of 40 thousand copies of GÜNSEL stamps, which will travel around the world before GÜNSEL B9, were printed in the first place.

Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay, Minister of Public Works and Transport, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel made statements about the postage stamps designed in honor of GÜNSEL.

Stating that the definition of GÜNSEL, which was developed with great efforts and brought to the mass production stage with the initiative of the Günsel Family, on the Near East University campus, as the "domestic and national car of the TRNC", reveals a very important fact, the Minister of Public Works and Transport Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay said, "GÜNSEL is a very important project that shows the world and our people what the TRNC can achieve. In addition to the prestige it provides, it will provide great gains for our country in a very wide area from education to the economy through the significant contributions it has made so far and will also make in future.” Emphasizing that GÜNSEL is one of the most important national projects of the TRNC, Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay said, "We wanted to emphasize the great meaning of our national brand GÜNSEL for our country by including it on the stamps issued by our Post Office."
