Placement and Scholarship Exams of Near East University and University of Kyrenia are on 7 June 2014

The Placement and Scholarship Exam of Near East University, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and University of Kyrenia, the first maritime and aviation university of our country, will be administered at the Near East University in a singe session at 10:00 a.m on 7 June 2014.

According to info released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, the students graduating from TRNC high schools and bearing TRNC citizenship have the right to make their preferences amongst 145 undergraduate and associate degree programs that are offered by 15 faculties, 2 high schools and 3 occupational high schools of Near East University, and 15 departments under 4 faculties and one high school and one vocational high school of University of Kyrenia. Students who will attend the exam must make their applications to Registrar’s Office of Near East University by 7 June 2014 at the latest. Applicants who will take the exam will be able to make their preferences up to 3 departments from both University of Kyrenia and Near East University. Students will be placed departments of either universities according to their exam results.

Students graduating from colleges will also have the right to be placed to departments of Near East University and University of Kyrenia in accordance with the quota allocated to departments by submitting their GCE A’Level, GCE AS Level, IGCSE-GCSE O’Level, SAT, ACT exam result documents.

Students graduating from Commercial High School, Occupational High School and Industrial Occupation High Schools have the right to register to associate degree and relevant undergraduate programs without entering the placement exam. Applicants bearing the aforementioned conditions must complete their pre-registration by 7 June 2014 at the latest.

A copy of TRNC identity card, one passport size photo of applicant, 50 TL exam fee must be submitted to Registrar’s Office in order to make the application for entrance exam.
