Near East University ranked 488th in the “Top Universities Ranking 2022” list of AD Scientific Index, which ranks the best universities in the world, and became one of the top 500 universities in the world. Based on Google Scholar data, the list, which evaluates the academic publication and citation performances of universities and scientists for the last five years, was created by analyzing the annual, five-year and total values of the h-index and i10 index criteria.
In the “Top Universities Ranking 2022” list, in which 13,600 universities from 206 countries are evaluated throughout the country, region and the world, Near East University ranked 488th in the world, first among the TRNC universities and third among the universities of Turkey, and at the same time, Near East University also ranked as one of the 4 Turkish universities among the top 500 universities in the world.
The most productive scientists of the TRNC are at the Near East University!
In the list published by AD Scientific Index, the most productive scientists were also ranked according to the academic publication performance of the last five years. 22 names who have been continuing their academic studies at the universities in the TRNC were included in the top 100 thousand worldwide. 16 of them, which corresponds to 73 percent of the scientists in the top 100 thousand from all universities in the TRNC, are from the Near East University.
While 9 of the top 10 most productive academicians of the TRNC continue their studies at Near East University, the first 3 places were shared by the academicians of Near East University. Standing out with his “High Energy Physics” studies, Prof. Dr. İsa Dumanoğlu ranks first in the TRNC. In the second place, there is another physicist, Prof. Dr. Kerem Cankoçak. Near East University Biomedical Engineering Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilber Uzun Özşahin, on the other hand, ranks third in the list.
Reminding that Near East University was among the top 250 universities in the world in the fields of “Engineering” and “Computer Sciences” in the World University Rankings 2022 published by the international higher education rating agency Times Higher Education, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “It is a great pride to be among the top 500 universities in the world in the ranking announced by AD Scientific Index, another prestigious institution that evaluates universities.
