Near East University, celebrating its 25th anniversary, and University of Kyrenia, the first university specializing on maritime and aviation studies, are going to administer additional placement and scholarship exam to place students into the open quotas of the faculties. The exam will take place on 11 July 2014, at 10:00 at a single session on campus of the Near East University.
University, students graduating from TRNC high schools and colleges and TRNC citizens can apply for 145 departments of 15 faculties, 2 high schools, and 3 vocational high schools of Near East University and 15 departments at the bodies of 4 faculties, 1 high school and 1 vocational high school of University of Kyrenia. The students who wish to take the exam must make their applications to Registrar’s Office of Near East University on 10 July 2014 at the latest. Applicants can make their preferences for 3 departments from each university, 3 departments from NEU and 3 departments from UK in total. Students will be placed to one of the departments amongst their choices in any one of the universities according to their exam results.
Students graduating from colleges will have the right to register all of the departments of both University of Kyrenia and Near East University within the scope of determined quota provided that they submit the result documents of GCE A’level, IGCSE-GCSE O’Level, SAT, ACT exams.
Students graduated from commercial high schools, vocational high schools, industrial vocational high schools have the right to enroll the relevant undergraduate programs of the Near East University without taking a placement exam. The applicants of this group must complete their pre-registration procedures by 10 July 2014.
For applications to placement and scholarship exam: photocopy of TRNC id card, 1 passport size photo, and 50 Turkish Liras exam fee are required. Applicants must submit these documents to Registrar’s Office.
