The fully equipped Dr. Suat Günsel Iskele State Primary School, of which foundation was completed in 7 months by the Near East Enterprises, has a capacity of 500 students. Thus, in accordance with the decision taken by the Günsel Family Board, the second of the 6 public primary schools announced by the Near East Organization to be built in 6 districts of the TRNC was made ready for education.

In accordance with the decision taken by the Günsel Family Board in December 2020, Dr. Suat Günsel Iskele State Primary School which is the second of the 6 schools that the Near East Enterprises decided to build in 6 districts of the TRNC and hand them over to the Directorate of Primary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education and Culture, is now ready for education.

On April 23, 2021, in the National Sovereignty and Children's Day celebrations, the foundation was laid in Iskele. The ceremony to hand over the Dr. Suat Günsel Iskele State Primary School will be held during the week of Republic Day. Thus, the state primary school, which was completed within a short period of 7 months, will be handed over to the Directorate of Primary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education and Culture to welcome with its students.

Dr. Suat Günsel Nicosia State Primary School Nicosia established by the Near East Enterprises and handed over to the Ministry of National Education and Culture, welcomed with its students in the new education period. Dr. Suat Günsel Iskele State Primary School, on the other hand, became the second state primary school completed out of 6 schools aimed to be built. Dr. Suat Günsel Famagusta State Primary School, of which establishment started in June, will be completed in the following period and handed over to the Ministry of National Education and Culture. Other schools will be built in Kyrenia, Güzelyurt and Lefke. Together with Dr. Suat Günsel State Primary Schools, the "6 state primary schools in 6 districts" project of the Near East Enterprises will continue.

Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel: “Before the end of the first year of the decision we took at the Günsel Family Board, we are proud to complete the establishment of the Dr. Suat Günsel Nicosia and Iskele State Primary Schools and hand them over to the Ministry of Education."
Reminding that they took the decision in the Günsel Family Board in December 2020 to bring 6 state primary schools to 6 districts of the country, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, "We are proud to hand over the Dr. Suat Günsel State Primary Schools, which we built in Nicosia and Iskele, before the first year of the decision we took at the Günsel Family Board was over." Stating that the establishment of Suat Günsel Nicosia State Primary School was completed in 6 months and started education in September 2020, Prof. Dr. Günsel said that they made the state primary school they built in Iskele ready for education in just 7 months.

Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “We will hand over Dr. Suat Günsel Iskele State Primary School to the Directorate of Primary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education and Culture with a ceremony that will be held during the week of the Republic Day. We invite all our people to participate in this meaningful ceremony.”
