Development and building of new campus of University of Kyrenia, the first and only university of Cyprus specializing on maritime and aviation studies, is going on full speed.

According to press info released by Press and Public Relations Directorate of University of Kyrenia, the new and modern campus of University of Kyrenia is rising in Kyrenia while hundreds of graduates of Faculty of Maritime Studies are serving for the marine sector. The campus project of University of Kyrenia, of which the first phase will cost 80 million USD and will make significant contributions to both TRNC and town of Kyrenia, is planned to be completed within two years. The new graduates of the university obtained their diplomas a couple of days ago and are ready to serve for the marine sector.

As the modern campus project of University of Kyrenia, which will be equipped with the most advanced and modern training and education equipment of maritime and aviation sectors, is going on, two new single and double engine aircrafts were also added to the fleet of aviation a short while ago.

The new campus of University of Kyrenia was projected to offer education and training to 4000 students, however, the enrollment capacity will be limited to 1200 students in order to keep the student-teacher ratio at a minimum level and ensure to keep the relation and contact between students and teachers at a maximum level. The applications and interest from overseas countries, including Greece, is increasing gradually. The University of Kyrenia was projected to be the most important and largest higher education institution in maritime and aviation studies in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East region.
