The exhibition of “Unknown Aspects of Çanakkale (Dardanelles) Naval War” organized by the Near East University and the Rahmi M. Koç Museum will be opened on 18 March at 17:30 in Rahmi Koç Museum with a Grand opening ceremony in Istanbul.

According to a press statement released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, the exhibition, to which important names of Turkey in economic, politics and cultural world will attend the opening ceremony, will be open to public for 9 months in Rahmi Koç Museum.

Curated by Ali Rıza İşipek, the former director of İstanbul Maritime Museum who has organized several exhibition projects, the naval historian, and now the Director of Maritime History Research Centre of University of Kyrenia, the exhibition comprises examples of Iznik tiles, ship models, antique objects, replicas, costumed mannequins, animation, engravings, board materials, banners and pennants, posters and a roll-up banners.

Delivering a speech regarding the opening of the exhibitions, Assoc. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, the Chairman of Board of Trustees of Near East University, stated that the opening ceremony that will take place on 18th March at 17:30 in Rahmi Koç Museum is another begining of the most important and most meaningful samples of the mission of Near East University in staking a claim on the self-history while leading to the future.
