Full mark to GÜNSEL from the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Mechanical Engineers!

Members of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Mechanical Engineers examined the TRNC’s domestic automobile, GÜNSEL, and got a test drive. After the test drive, the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, who obtained detailed information about GÜNSEL and examined the vehicle, gave GÜNSEL full marks.

Before the test drive of GÜNSEL at the Günsel Production Facilities located on the Near East University Campus, the delegation of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers came together with GÜNSEL administration and exchanged ideas about possible collaborations. Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Chairman Ayer Yarkıner commented on GÜNSEL after the test drive.


Ayer Yarkıner: “The TRNC should embrace GÜNSEL with all its institutions and pave the way. This project belongs to our country.”
Ayer Yarkıner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, said, “As the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, we wanted to see and examine GÜNSEL produced in our country on-site. It is a great success to dare such an initiative and to produce the first prototypes. That’s why we really appreciate the institution. As the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, we are ready to provide all kinds of support within our possibilities. We consider this as a public responsibility.” Saying that they want to establish a “Vehicle Control Center” as the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, Yarkıner emphasized that they are open to all kinds of cooperation for the production of GÜNSEL and for the tests of the vehicles produced.

Yalvaç Akgün: “One of our biggest goals is to develop our country by employing engineers and technicians in TRNC.”
Yalvaç Akgün, Member of the Board of GÜNSEL, thanked the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Board for their visit and drew attention to the employment opportunities that GÜNSEL will create for the TRNC. Reminding that there are job postings for over 50 different positions on GÜNSEL’s corporate website, Akgün said, “Many of these are job postings that may be of interest to mechanical engineers. One of our biggest goals is to employ engineers and technicians in the TRNC and develop our country while advancing in the investments.”
