Asst. Prof. Dr. Nadir Serin, a faculty member in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences, Girne University, visited the Wind Energy Technologies Research and Application Center (RÜZGEM) at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, on July 4, 2025.

During this technical visit, detailed exchanges were held on wind tunnel testing and aerodynamic research.

METU RÜZGEM is one of the Turkey’s leading research centers in the field of wind energy. Equipped with low- and medium-speed wind tunnels, advanced aerodynamic test systems, and innovative engineering solutions, the center contributes to numerous national and international projects. It plays a pioneering role in the development of sustainable energy technologies in both academic and industrial contexts.

Throughout the visit, possible areas of collaboration between Girne University and METU RÜZGEM were discussed. Opportunities for joint research and development projects were explored, and a roadmap for potential future cooperation was outlined.
