Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry President Ali Kamacıoğlu: “We will take initiatives to declare GÜNSEL and automotive supply industry as a free zone in the planned industrial zone in Famagusta.”
Speaking after Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and GÜNSEL Chairman of the Executive Board Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel’s presentation about GÜNSEL’s serial production efforts, future projections and its contributions to the TRNC economy after mass production, President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry Ali Kamacıoğlu said, “We always clearly and unequivocally stated that the most important point for our country and our people to achieve prosperity is to produce. At this point, for the first time, we have had a presentation that agreed with us.”

Reminding that the TRNC is struggling with many political and economic embargoes, Kamacıoğlu said, “The embargoes and restrictions we face show their main effect psychologically. To date, no step has been taken to push the limits of these embargoes. GÜNSEL is a very important step in this sense. As the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, we wholeheartedly stand by GÜNSEL with all our support.”

President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, Ali Kamacıoğlu, said that they will take initiatives to declare the organized industrial zone to be built in Famagusta as a free zone, including GÜNSEL and the automotive sub-industry initiatives it will create. Kamacıoğlu said “Contributing to such investments is one of our top priorities.”

Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel: “Electric automobile revolution has been reshaping the world. While this transformation is taking place, the right steps to be taken at the right time will ensure that our Northern Cyprus will be more strongly integrated with the world.”
Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees and GÜNSEL Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel expressing his gratitude to President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry Ali Kamacıoğlu and members of the Executive Board of the CTCI, who visited GÜNSEL and expressed their support, pointed out that the electric car revolution will reshape the world and said, “While this transformation is taking place, the right steps to be taken at the right time will enable our Northern Cyprus to integrate with the world much more firmly.”

Stating that GÜNSEL proved that the TRNC is not just about sea, sand and sun, Prof. Dr. Günsel said, “We are a society that can produce; We are a developing country. We can carry our country to the future by producing and bringing our own brands to the world. Producing is the only way to survive. For this, we have to work hard to produce without giving up against embargoes and negativities.”

Sharing GÜNSEL’s production and income projection until 2037, Prof. Dr. Günsel said, “2029 will be a very important milestone for our Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Our country, which has a foreign trade deficit of approximately 1.4 billion dollars every year between 2015 and 2020, will reach the position of a country with a foreign trade surplus for the first time in 2029, with the export income to be generated by GÜNSEL.”
