The solo exhibitions of Khasan Aminov, İsmail Gündoğan, Gazi Gündoğan and Sinem Akın Kılınç, which will bring together 90 works, will be opened by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Hasan Taçoy on Tuesday, August 2, at 17.30 at the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University.
The Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts will bring together 90 works of art, sculpture and stained glass, with four solo exhibitions to be opened on August 2 at the Near East University Communication Faculty Exhibition Hall. The first of the exhibitions, which will be opened by the TRNC Minister of Labor and Social Security Hasan Taçoy, will be the solo painting exhibition “Island of Inspiration”, which brings together 25 works of the Uzbek artist Khasan Aminov. Sinem Akın Kılınç’s stained glass exhibition titled “Goddesses and the Cyprus Figure” will bring together a 50-piece collection with the visitors. Creating a unique style with the metal sculptures he made, İsmail Gündoğan’s kinetic sculptures, which he made as a result of being inspired by children’s games and collected in his collection named “Game”, will fascinate visitors while moving on a balance that is worth seeing. At the same opening, a solo painting exhibition titled “Life”, which brings together the works of Gazi Gündoğan, who attracts attention with his original style, will also be opened. Thus, the works made by İsmail Gündoğan and his father Gazi Gündoğan will meet visitors for the first time in the same exhibition hall. The exhibitions will be open to the public free of charge until 17 August.
“Island of Inspiration” Cyprus
Uzbek artist Khasan Aminov’s solo painting exhibition titled “Island of Inspiration”, consisting of oil on canvas and acrylic paintings exclusively prepared for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, consists of 25 works inspired by the history of Cyprus and Uzbekistan. The works of the 60-year-old painter, who is the recipient of the Silver Key Honorary Award, draw attention with their realistic and expressionist style.
50-piece stained glass collection

The 50-piece stained glass collection specially designed for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts by artist Sinem Akın Kılınç, who also made the stained glasses of the Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque under construction on the Near East University campus, with 6 minarets and 62 domes, Dr, will be opened to visitors on August 2. Bringing together colorful stained glass, the solo exhibition bears the theme of “Goddesses and the Cyprus Figure”.
The works of father and son artists will meet visitors in the same hall
Two of the four solo exhibitions to be opened will bring together the works of 30-year-old young artist İsmail Gündoğan and his father, the painter Gazi Gündoğan, in the same hall. İsmail Gündoğan’s solo sculpture exhibition titled “The Game”, which consists of moving metal sculptures inspired by children’s games, consists of 10 pieces. Gündoğan, whose ship models and bird sculptures he masterfully crafted from various metals before, took part in the group exhibitions held by the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, this time enlivens children’s games by giving shape to metal. Father Gazi Gündoğan, on the other hand, depicts his love and devotion to Anatolia with his works such as “Grain”, “İlhan”, “Sunday”, “Winter Preparation” and “Harvest” that will take place in his solo painting exhibition titled “Life”.
