The “Fine Arts July Exhibition”, consisting of works exclusively made by the award-winning academic artists of the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and the artists of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, will be opened by President Ersin Tatar on Thursday, July 25, at 17.00 at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center.

The exhibition, which will bring together 50 artworks of painting, sculpture, ceramics and printmaking with art lovers, is curated by Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Vice Dean and GÜNSEL Art Museum Director Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün.

The “Fine Arts July Exhibition”, which is the 464th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, will be open to visitors free of charge until September 20.

At the same time, Rauf Ersenal’s 150-piece ceramic collection made with original techniques will continue to meet art lovers at the exhibition hall. The collection includes ceramic works from Cyprus, the originals of which were taken off the island during the British period and scattered all over the world, from the British Museum to the Metropolitan Museum.

The curator of the exhibition, Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Vice Dean and GÜNSEL Art Museum Director Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, emphasized that they continue to bring the works of academic artists to art lovers and said, “Art is the mirror of society and we are very happy to share the beauties and depths reflected in this mirror.”

“Art derives its power from its ability to bring people together across borders. The works in this exhibition not only present a visual feast, but also make the artists’ voices heard to the world.” said Prof. Dr. Ergün and added; “In this exhibition, we will exhibit 50 exclusive artworks in a wide range from painting to sculpture, from ceramics to printmaking, to our visitors. In addition, we will take our visitors on a journey that brings together art and history with Rauf Ersenal’s 150-piece collection reflecting the rich ceramic heritage of Cyprus.”
