University of Kyrenia Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation held a conference about ‘Communication Techniques during Rehabilitation Process’ on Thursday, 21st of March.

The conference had an intense participation from students who actively listened to the conference presented by Prof. Dr. Uğur Cavlak, from University of Lefke, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department. Cavlak emphasized that the 53% success of the treatment is based on the good communication between the patient and the physiotherapist during the rehabilitation process. Cavlak noted that this communication should be based on the humanistic approach and also a patient-centered approach should be adopted.

Cavlak who underlined the importance of empathetic listening, performed a small play with the students at the end of the conference. Prof. Dr. Uğur Cavlak presented a colourful presentation including the examples of the theoretical knowledge application.
