The first and only university specializing on aviation and maritime studies in Eastern Mediterranean region and Cyprus will contribute much to the developments of higher education system in TRNC.

According to press info released by Press and Public Relations Directorate of University of Kyrenia, Mrs. Cemre S. Günsel Haskasap delivered a speech on developments of higher education system in TRNC and stated that the University of Kyrenia, as the only university specializing on aviation and maritime studies in Cyprus, will contribute much to the developments in TRNC higher education sector as well as developments in aviation and maritime sectors of TRNC.

80 million USD for first phase of University of Kyrenia…

Cemre Günsel Haskasap pointed out in her speech that the first phase of the project of University of Kyrenia will cost 80 million USD and the university comprises all sort of necessary infrastructure and advanced equipment and devices for giving comprehensive training in maritime and aviation fields.

University of Kyrenia has a fleet of six aircrafts for training…

Cemre S. Günsel Haskasap emphasized that the University of Kyrenia, which signed a comprehensive protocol with TRNC Federation of Aviation Sports and Yavrukuş Aviation School, is fully authorized to give training for PPL and ATPL which are essentially required for aviation transportation.

Employment Guaranteed for graduates…

Haskasap also stated that students graduating from University of Kyrenia are assured to be employed after graduation, and students and graduates of UK will be fully supported in their way leading to a professional. Haskasap said that the university is also dedicated to meet the needs of aviation sector by training well qualified pilots and aviation officers.

Graduates of University of Kyrenia will pay tuition fees after being employed…

Students graduating from Department of Pilotage are provided with the opportunity to pay the tuition fees after being employed and will only pay the registration fees and social activity fees during their studies.

Flight training will be carried out in TRNC

Haskasap said that the medium of instruction for Department of Pilotage is English and students will take both theoretical and practical courses during their education at the Department of Pilotage, and the flight trainings will be carried out in TRNC in accordance with the protocol signed with Yavrukuş Aviation School which has official authority to confer upon pilotage licences at various levels.
