Within the frame of the 104th anniversary activities of Turkish Air Forces, Hezarfen Aviation Student Club of the University of Kyrenia visited the 2nd Jet Air Base Command in Çiğli, Izmir.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the University of Kyrenia, the members of Hezarfen Aviation Student Club paid visit to the 2nd Main Air Jet Base in Çiğli, Izmir within the frame of the 104th anniversary events of Turkish Air Forces.

During the visits, memoir plaques were presented to Air pilot Major General Kubilay Selçuk, Commander of the second Air Jet Base, Yusuf Kurt, Soloturk First Demo Pilot Captain, Air pilot Lieutenant Colonel Zeki Koltukoğlu, Turkish Stars Fleet Commander, and Ali İsmet Öztürk known as the best aerobatic pilot of Turkey. During their visit to the second Air Jet Base, the first aviation students of TRNC exchanged ideas and received information on professional issues.

The members of Hezarfen Aviation Student Club of the University of Kyrenia voiced their happiness due to the sincere interest and concern shown to them. On the first day of the visit, the second Main Air Jet Base was introduced to the aviation students of the University of Kyrenia, the students were also provided with information on many issues regarding aviation. On the second day of the visit, the students participated in the 104th anniversary events of Turkish Air Forces and witnessed the great demos of Turkish Air Force pilots and civilian pilots. Then the aviation students visited the aviation stands.

As the aviators of the future, the members of Hezarfen Aviation Student Club of the University of Kyrenia not only had the opportunity to introduce themselves during the visit but also gained a great aeronautical experience by participating in this spectacular event organized for the 104th anniversary of Turkish Air Forces.

Hezarfen Aviation Student Club of the University of Kyrenia was accompanied by the social and cultural activities Coordinator Musa Oytun, Hezarfen Aviation Student Club Chairperson Sevgi Çetin, Deputy Chairman Hasan Evgen and Feridun Koldaş, who has a say in Turkey’s aviation sector.
