Artists Orazbek Yesenbayev, Nurlan Kebek Uulu and İsken Abdaliev completed 4 of the bronze sculptures, which they would call the “Turkish World”, for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts

For the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art, four of the fourteen bronze sculptures, called “Turkish World”, designed by Kazakhstan artist Orazbek Yesenbayev and made by Kyrgyz sculptors Nurlan Kebek Uulu and İsken Abdaliev, were completed and took their place outside Atatürk Education Faculty.

According to the information provided by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan artists came together to complete four of the bronze statues called “Turkish World”, which will consist of fourteen pieces.


Orazbek Yesenbayev; “XXI century will be the century of the Turkish world”
Kazakh artist Orazbek Yesenbayev, the designer of the bronze sculptures named “Turkish World” said; “The Turkish world has had a unique place in the world where strong cultures and civilizations emerged and developed throughout its long history, which had a great impact on the course and development of world history, culture and civilization. Geographically, the Turkish world, located in the central part of the Eurasian continent, has always had a bridge effect between the two major cultures of the east and the west. The sculptures consist of 7 pairs. A total of 14 sculptures are to be made. These are paired sculptures that embody the common quarry, culture, traditions, architecture and applied art of the Turkish world. The XXIst century will be the century of the Turkish world ”.

The designer of the ‘Turkish World’ sculptures is Kazakh artist Orazbek Yesenbayev, and the sculptors Nurlan Kebek Uulu and İsken Abdaliev are the artists who created the sculptures.

Who is Orazbek Yesenbayev?
He was born on February 27, 1960, in Kazakhstan. He graduated from Gogol Art College in Alma-Ata in 1993. He studied at the Zhurgenov State Theater and Art Institute between 1986 and 1993. He worked as a teacher at Symbat Academy between 2011-2015. He is a member of the Art Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He has been participating in national and international art exhibitions since 1980.

In 2004, he held his solo art exhibition titled “Vernisaj” in Almaty. In 2012, he participated in the exhibitions titled “20 Years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and “Kazakhstan Epic” held at the A. Kasteev Museum. He participated in the international art exhibition contest titled “Lessendra” held in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2019, he held his solo art exhibition titled «Triple Memory».


Who is Nurlan Kebek Uulu
He was born on September 14, 1979, in Kyrgyzstan. He studied at No:14 Art school in 1996. In 2001, he graduated from the Department of Sculpture of National Art Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic. The artist, who was a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2007, has been participating in national and international sculpture exhibitions and symposiums since 1997. He is an artist of various sculptures and monuments:

1999 – “Legend”, stone, dolomite. It is standing in the city of Bishkek.
2004 – “Motherhood”, bronze, steel.
2000 – His work called “Nest” made of dolomite stone, erected in the city of Oş.
2001 – sculpture “Dolon Khan” stone, limestone
2008 – “Horseman”, bronze work.
2009 – “Awakening”, in bronze.
2014 – “C. Aitmatov Monument ” a bronze work.

Who is İsken Abdaliev?
He was born on December 31, 1979, in Bishkek. He graduated from the boarding school of National Academy of Arts. He then entered the Easel-sculpture Department of the T. Sadykov National Academy of Arts. received the sculptor diploma as qualified specialist. During his art life, he participated in the republican symposia of sculptors and international exhibitions:

1998 – Ch. He participated in the XIst Republic symposium dedicated to Aitmatov’s 70th birthday.
2000 – Osh, attended the XIIIrd Republic symposium of sculptors dedicated to the feast ‘300 ’.
2001 – Participated in the XIVth Republic Sculptors Symposium held in Celal Abad.
2013 – Ch. Attended the republic art exhibition dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Aitmatov.
2016 – Participated in the republic symposium of sculptors in Issyk-Kul.
