For the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, painting, sculpture, ceramics and print artists are continuing to produce artworks during the quarantine days and support the struggle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Artist Ramadan Useinov painted Bedestan, located in Nicosia, one of the historical, cultural and touristic places of Cyprus, as well as the Sinan Pasha Mosque, one of the historical buildings of St. Famagusta (Church of St. Peter and St. Paul), and the Bellapais Monastery in Kyrenia during the Covid-19 quarantine days for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

Bedestan
According to the information provided by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, artist Ramadan Useinov painted the Bedesten, which was built in the 6th century during the Byzantine period, to the south of the Selimiye Mosque (St. Nicholas Church). The architecture of Bedesten is in the old Byzantine and gothic styles. It was used as a bazaar during the Ottoman administration. Today, it was restored and used in arts and arts activities.

Sinan Pasha Mosque (St. Peter and St Paul Church)
Artist Useinov also painted the Sinan Pasha Mosque which was built in 1360 during the Lusignan administration and is one of the historical buildings of Famagusta. It has a unique stonework. It is believed that the northern entrance of the Church of Peter and St Paul was brought from somewhere else. The interior of the building is very plain and the ceiling is placed on columns with a flat head. It was turned into a mosque by adding a minaret to the building by the Ottoman Empire. It was used for different purposes after giving up using it as a mosque in the British administration. Today, it is visited as one of the historical and touristic places of Famagusta.

Bellapais Monastery
Another work that the artist depicted on his canvas is Bellapais Monastery. It is one of the eastern examples of gothic architecture during the Lusignan period, built in the Kyrenia district of Cyprus and built on the foundations in the 12th century during the Roman period.
