Artist Irina Lavrinenko painted the fight against Covid-19 on the canvas for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts

Artists are continuing to raise awareness and support the struggle against the new type of coronavirus worldwide (Covid-19) with their artworks such as graffiti on the walls of buildings, shapes on stones, paintings on canvases and ceramics.

According to the information given by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, artist Irina Lavrinenko reflected her art on canvas to support the fight against Covid-19 and draw attention to the warnings and measures taken against the coronavirus.

Artist Irina Lavrinenko said that we should comply with the calls and warnings during this challenging process, and stay at home to stay healthy.

In the statement, it was reported that for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art, an artist will continue to share his or her three artworks such as paintings, prints, ceramics, graphite or sculpture to support the fight against the new type of coronavirus that caused a disaster around the world.

Who is Irina Lavrinenko?
She was born in Tbilisi in 1958. She studied at the Tbilisi State Art Academy between 1978 and 1983. She worked as an art teacher at No:53 School between 2001-2003. She worked as a teacher at State A. S. Pushkin Pedagogical Institute between 1987-1992. She has been a member of the Georgian Textile Group since 1997.
