The results of the second additional quota placement, which is given for the first time to students who would choose a university this year, have been announced. 41% of the 841 students who preferred the TRNC for the second additional placement in 2021 placed in Near East University and University of Kyrenia. Thus, Near East University continued to be the most preferred university in the TRNC. With the second additional quota, 262 students were placed in Near East University and 79 students in University of Kyrenia. The total number of students entitled to enroll in Near East University and University of Kyrenia has reached 341.

According to the results of the first placement, of the 7,560 students who preferred the TRNC for university education, 1,951 students preferred Near East University and 436 students preferred the University of Kyrenia.

Students who have the right to enroll in the Near East University and the University of Kyrenia in the second additional quota will be able to register between October 26-November 01, 2021 at the representation offices of Near East University and University of Kyrenia in Turkey, and on the university campus.
