Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Faculty Member Assist. Prof. Dr. Mine Okur’s solo exhibition titled “Nature Reflections”, exclusively prepared for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, will be opened by President Ersin Tatar.

In the exhibition that will be opened on Monday, October 11 at 09.30 at the Near East University Faculty of Dentistry Exhibition Hall, academician-artist Assist. Prof. Dr. Mine Okur’s 55 artworks consisting of 30 prints, 23 charcoal sketches and 2 canvas paintings, will be presented to art lovers. “Nature Reflections” will be the 384th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Mine Okur: “Nature has been an inspiring source for artists and designers since the existence of art.”
Stating that nature has been the most important source of inspiration for artists and designers since the existence of art, Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Faculty Member Assist. Prof. Dr. Mine Okur said, “How nature reveals a texture, an isolated form or a symmetrical or vice versa has always been the subject of science and art.”

Stating that she created the works in her exhibition with the idea that “Forms in nature come before artistic form”, Assist. Prof. Dr. Okur said, “I have brought all these forms to life by associating them with my own perspective and inner world and using the silkscreen printing technique in the print painting workshop of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design with the unique opportunities offered by our Near East University. Thanks to our Founding Rector Dr. Suat İrfan Günsel and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel; I would also like to thank the staff of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts for their efforts to bring my works to art lovers.”
