Who can enrol in Refreshment University?
Individuals over the age of 60 can enrol in Refreshment University.

What is the duration of education?
An education year at Refreshment University consists of 2 semesters, autumn and spring semesters. The total duration of education is four years.

How is the application and/or registration done?
For pre-registration, students are required to submit 2 passport-sized photographs, 1 copy of K.K.T.R. identity card/passport, K.K.T.R. residence permit and T.R. identity card/passport photocopy for Turkish nationals, and the University of Kyrenia Registration Form, which can be obtained from the University of Kyrenia Student Affairs.

Is there a fee for education?
There is no fee for education and training.

Which courses are included in the programme?
There are two different categories of compulsory and elective courses in the programme. Although there may be differences between compulsory courses according to the academic term, there are mainly medical courses, as well as oral health, dietetics, art history, story writing, music history, interior decoration, technology, psychology, personal development, sweater knitting, repair, law courses. Elective courses vary according to the academic terms, but include a variety of options such as English, French, painting, photography, yoga, Chi Gong.

Which days and times are the trainings given?
Our trainings are given three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, unless there are special requests from our faculty members. While the compulsory courses start at 16:00, our elective courses take place before and/or after the compulsory courses in line with the intensity of the elective courses in the programme.

Is it compulsory to attend classes?
Unless students have a valid and / or documented excuse, 70% attendance is compulsory in order to pass to the next semester.

Who are the instructors?
Trainings are given by faculty members who volunteer to support the programme and professionals who are experts in their fields.

How is success evaluated in the courses?
There is no exam for the courses. Students will not take the exam. Students who attend 70% of the courses are considered successful.

Will the graduates receive a diploma?
Graduates will receive a diploma from University of Kyrenia 60+ Age Refreshment University.
