PRIDE OF GRADUATION AT UNIVERSITY OF KYRENIA
Fall Semester 2025–2026 Graduates Sent Off to the Future
University of Kyrenia held its Fall Semester 2025–2026 Graduation Ceremony with a magnificent program at the Grand Library Conference Hall. The ceremony, attended by academic protocol members, students, and families in great numbers, was marked by emotional and proud moments.
STRONG ATTENDANCE FROM ACADEMIC PROTOCOL AND FAMILIES
The graduation ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Formation, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel; Member of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Formation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Girne University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cemre Günsel Haskasap; members of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Formation; members of the Board of Trustees of Girne University; Rector of Girne University, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu; Rector of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ; Rector of International Final University, Prof. Dr. Orhan Gemikonaklı; vice rectors, the secretary general, chief physicians, institute directors, deans, vice deans, department heads, vocational school directors, academicians, and the families of graduating students.
MEANINGFUL MESSAGE TO GRADUATES FROM RECTOR SALİHOĞLU
The opening speech of the ceremony was delivered by Rector of University of Kyrenia, Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu. Congratulating the graduates, Salihoğlu emphasized that education is not limited to the transfer of knowledge, but is also a process of raising individuals who think critically, question, and possess a strong sense of social responsibility.
Drawing attention to University of Kyrenia’s significant progress in national and international accreditation processes, Salihoğlu highlighted the increase in scientific publications and the success of student projects. He stated that the university prepares its graduates strongly for the future through scientific productivity, ethical values, and a sense of social responsibility.
MULTICULTURAL STRUCTURE REFLECTED ON STAGE
Speeches delivered on behalf of students receiving education in Turkish and English showcased University Of Kyrenia’s multicultural academic structure and international vision. Protocol speeches further reinforced the significance and meaning of the ceremony.
HONOR CERTIFICATES AND DIPLOMA CELEBRATION
Within the scope of the program, honor certificates were presented to successful graduates entitled to receive them. This was followed by the presentation of diplomas to graduates of the Graduate Education Institute.

Graduates of the Nursing Department took their professional oath and took their first steps into their professional careers.
CAPS IN THE AIR, PRIDE IN THE EYES
The graduation ceremony concluded with a group photo session and the cutting of the graduation cake. As University of Kyrenia graduates tossed their caps and were sent off to their new lives, families and academicians shared moments filled with pride.
