University of Kyrenia 60+ Age Refreshment University has added another social responsibility project to its portfolio, strengthening social solidarity.
The initiative, launched with the goal of providing 10 wheelchairs to the Orthopaedic Disabled Association, far exceeded its target thanks to participants’ voluntary donations and stall sales conducted throughout the term.
As part of the work carried out;
• 1 electric wheelchair,
• 4 special children’s wheelchairs,
• 8 manual wheelchairs,
• 3 walkers
were procured and delivered to those in need through the Orthopaedic Disabled Persons Association.
This support, provided entirely through the contributions of the participants of the GÜ 60+ Age Rejuvenation University, once again demonstrated that lifelong learning gains meaning not only through knowledge but also through sharing, solidarity, and kindness. During a visit to the association as part of the project, the equipment was delivered on behalf of the donors.
University of Kyrenia 60+ Age Refreshment University continues to produce socially beneficial projects based on the understanding that it is possible to be productive and add value to society at any age.
