University of Kyrenia which began its educational life in 2013 held a glorious graduation ceremony for 2015-2016 academic year spring term graduates.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the University of Kyrenia, the 7th term graduates received their diplomas with a glorious ceremony that held at university campus. University of Kyrenia Founding Rector Cemre S. Günsel Haskasap, Near East University Founding Rector Dr.Suat İ. Günsel, Minister of Transport Kemal Dürüst, NEU Board of Trustees Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, University of Kyrenia Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ilkay Salihoğlu, NEU Rector Prof. Dr. Ümit Hassan, vice rectors, faculty deans, faculty members, academics, bureaucrats, guests, students and their parents participated in the graduation ceremony.

The graduation ceremony began with stand in silence and followed by national anthem. Then, Kemal Dürüst, TRNC Minister of Transport, Prof. Dr. Ilkay Salihoğlu, Acting Rector of University of Kyrenia, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altunç, Dean of Faculty of Maritime Studies, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Tolun, Dean of Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences, and on behalf of students Mustafa Ergüven, Mustafa Ruso and Emre Fedakar delivered opening remarks respectively.

Following the speeches, the graduates received their diplomas.

Kemal Dürüst: “University of Kyrenia will be our country’s window to the world”.

Prof. Dr. Ilkay Salihoğlu: “All of our graduates have provided contribution to the University of Kyrenia to develop with a great acceleration. Within the scope of our fundamental objectives, we have set it as our mission to be a leading university in our region and make the name of our country known all over the world. To this end, we strive to provide the highest quality education and cultivate highly qualified graduates that equipped with comprehensive professional knowledge and skills required to address the growing needs of the relevant sectors across the world. While our graduates feel pride of our university throughout their lives, as well as we will be proud of them. I wish all of them good luck and continuing success in their future career”.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altunç: “We set foot on the road of quality education with the most up-to-date scientific technology and infrastructure three years ago. Today, in your presence, we are awarding our graduates with their diplomas. We feel happy and happy of them” said he. Addressing to graduates, Professor Altunç underlined the commitment of the university to be an internationally known and respected hub of education. “Throughout your education you have been equipped with the most up-to date comprehensive knowledge and skills required to begin your career as competent professionals. Today, we see you off as our 7th term graduates, we feel happy and proud of you. You are going to undertake all the responsibilities entailed with your profession. I urge all of you to devote to your professions and never stop learning. Trust in the education that you received at this internationally esteemed university”.

Prof. Dr. Süleyman Tolun: “University of Kyrenia opens new horizons by providing quality and excellence in education. We are dedicated to ensure the educational,intellectual, professional, and personal development of our students. I congratulate all our graduates and wish them continuing success in their career”.

Mustafa Ergüven: “Even the slightest knowledge that we learn at school will certainly be helpful”.

Mustafa Ruso: “We will represent Turkish maritime in national and international seas in the best manner and contribute to its development.

Emre Fedakar: “Our teaching staff have forged us as iron masters forge iron, now, we are like gleaming sharp swords”.

Following the speeches, the graduates received their diplomas and set the first step towards their future careers.
