NEU RA 25, which is TRNC’s first registered solar-powered car produced by the Near East University, sibling university of University of Kyrenia, and represented our country successfully at Sasol Solar Challenge 2014 held in South Africa, will be granted with the Technology and Innovation Award in Paris Science Convention.

According to the press release from the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of NEU (Near East University Nicosia, Cyprus), produced as a wonder of technology by R & D teams consisting of the instructors, engineers and students of NEU, the solar powered NEU-RA 25 would be granted with International Technology and Innovation Award at the Science Convention organized by the Business Initiative Directions (BID) in Paris.

According to the press statement, the Business Initiative Directions (BID), which has a respectable place in the international arena and has presented awards to globally successful scientists, cutting-edge companies and institutions as well as academics from 178 countries around the world so far, would present the International Technology and Innovation Award to NUE Board of Trustees Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel at Paris Science Convention for his firm commitment to excellence, innovation and leadership in producing NEU-RA 25. Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel along with his accompanying delegation has flown to Paris today.
