University of Kyrenia hosted Antalya Yavuz Selim Anadolu Lisesi

Antalya Yavuz Sultan Selim Anadolu Lisesi visitied the University of Kyrenia. As well as a visit to other universities, Antalya Yavuz Sultan Selim Lisesi included a visit to the University of Kyrenia within its `Carrier Planning Program`.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, final year students of Antalya Yavuz Selim Anadolu Lisesi (a high school in Antalya, Turkey), along with their Vice Principal Özlem Oluk, Head of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) İrem Şavk, and teachers in charge Saim Aksa and Süleyman Özhan visited the University of Kyrenia. It was pointed out that General Secretary of University of Kyrenia, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hürmüs Refiker and Head of University of Kyrenia Foundation Mutlu Soykurt had greeted the visiting committee from Antalya Yavuz Selim Anadolu Lisesi.

The visit around the campus ended with a visit to the “Unknown Aspects of Çanakkale Naval War Exhibition” …

Accompanied with the hosting committee of the University of Kyrenia, the students of Antalya Yavuz Selim Anadolu Lisesi had a visit around the campus and found out about the opportunities provided to the students of University of Kyrenia. Furthermore, they were provided the chance to ask questions and get answers to the head of departments regarding their interests. Their tour around the campus was expressed to have ended by a visit to the exhibition titled as “Unknown Aspects of Çanakkale Naval War”, which had been opened on campus on March, 18th.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altunç: “It is important to love the job which you are planning to choose, as this will bring success!”

Dean of Faculty of Maritime Studies, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altunç, gave advice to the visiting students and expressed significant issues to consider while making important decisions. He emphasized that it was important to love the job which they were planning to choose as this would bring them success in their future careers. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altunç ended his words by stressing that students needed to be clear about the fields of interests and that University of Kyrenia was looking forward to receive them as students to provide them the best education and training in their chosen fields.
