Another Breakthrough from the University of Kyrenia

According to the press info released by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations, the University of Kyrenia, which currently has four faculties offering maritime and aviation education at international standards, has made another striking breakthrough and brought Maritime High School into service within its body. The Maritime High School with its two departments will implement four-year-programs within the body of the University of Kyrenia. The medium of instruction at the Maritime High School will be Turkish, while the other faculties of the university have an English medium education system.

The educational programs of Maritime High School have been approved by Higher Education Planning, Evaluation Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK). The Maritime High School of the University of Kyrenia will provide a distinguished education and training environment in the line with relevant provisions and regulations including the “Regulations on Seafarers No 24472 of July 2001”, “Guidelines on the Medical Examinations of Seafarers” and the “International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers (STCW) 1995”.

Maritime High School of the University of Kyrenia will provide four year undergraduate education on maritime studies at the departments of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering (Deck), and Marine Engineering.

According to the press info released by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of the University of Kyrenia, the university, which offers opportunities for students to receive undergraduate education at international levels and specialize on a specialty by participating in the programs on maritime and aviation provided by the four faculties, has made another striking breakthrough and brought Maritime Highschool into service within its body.
