As part of the activities and training carried out by Preperatory School of University of Kyrenia on Vocational English, students of Department of Pilotage, along with Academic Staff of Prep. School; Tülin Çağatan Lisani and Cihan Elkuvvetli visited Ercan Airport.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of University of Kyrenia, students of the Department of Pilotage of University of Kyrenia visited various parts of the airport and were provided relevant information by the authorised personnel. The visit particularly involved the investigation of the control tower where pilot candidates found the opportunity to get detailed info on approach control, ACC, technical room, and check-in departments.

Students will be working on a project by making use of the observations and practical information gathered through the visit, along with the theoretical information provided at the courses and will be required to use English language and Vocational English according to the criteria provided by the aviation authorities. It was revealed that the students of University of Kyrenia would be continuing to work on similar projects throughout their educational life at the University.

Additionally, it was stated that through the activities organized by the Preparatory School of University of Kyrenia, increased motivation is attained in students and an emphasis is placed on making use of everyday English and Vocational English through getting authentic experience in the field of the students’ study.
