Dr. Suat Günsel Cup, the preseason preparatory basketball tournament that organized and hosted by the University of Kyrenia, has come to an end with the matches that played on the third day of the tournament.

The three day tournament offered the contender teams of Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League a chance for excellent preseason competition to test their skills and performances in the state-of-the-art NEU facility, RA25 Sports Hall. At the end of the three day tournament, Adana BOTAŞ Sports Club won Dr. Suat Günsel Cup as the winner of the tournament. Hatay BŞB ranked the second, Near East University ranked the third and the University of Kyrenia ranked the fourth.

According to the press info released by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the University of Kyrenia, Mr. Özdemir Berova, TRNC Minister of Culture and National Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, Chairman of NEU Board of Trustees, Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Tüzünkan, Vice Chairman of NEU Board of Trustees, Salih Işık, Sports Counselor of TRNC President, Ertuğ Nasıroğlu, Chairman of TRNC Basketball Federation, Işık Eyigüngör, Head of Near East University Club, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hakan Atamtürk, Director of NEU Health, Culture and Sports Office, attended the final match of the tournament that held in NEU RA25 Sports Hall.

Upon the completion of the matches, an award ceremony was held and successful players were presented awards in recognition of their accomplishments.
